General Garden Etiquette
- No drones.
- Please do not play in the water features, except designated areas in the Children’s Garden.
- No outside food or drink is allowed in the Garden.
- Changing clothes in the public restrooms is prohibited. You must come already dressed for photo shoots.
- Please stay on the pathways and grassy areas; do not stand or walk in garden beds or climb on trees or shrubs.
- McKee Botanical Garden is smoke free (Vaping and E-cigarettes included). No smoking permitted in the Garden, parking lot and buildings.
- Bicycles are not allowed in the Garden. There is a designated bicycle stand in the parking lot.
- Motorized scooters allowed only for mobility impaired. No skateboards, hoverboards or Segways allowed.
- The fee for a professional photo shoot is $250.00 for two hours for up to 8 people, including the photographer/assistant. The maximum number of guests for the photo shoot is 10 (not including photographer/assistant) and the fee for over eight people is General Admission. Garden membership does not entitle the party, or part thereof, to waive this fee. Please note: NO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IS ALLOWED IN THE GARDEN.
- All guests must check in at the window.
- Shoes and Shirts must be worn.
- Pets are prohibited in the Garden. Licensed, service animals only.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- To protect the plant collections, active sports and games are not permitted.
- Do not pick flowers.
- Do not take, harm or feed the wildlife.
- Due to space limitations on walkways, only strollers and wheelchairs are permitted.
- The garden has two (2) electric scooters. Please call ahead to reserve a scooter. There is no charge for its use.
Additional Children’s Garden Etiquette
- Photo shoots are not allowed in the Children’s Garden. Personal photography with cell phones and cameras is permitted, however, tripods and professional photography and equipment are prohibited. Photos of your own children are allowed, but please do not take photos of other children.
- No outside food is allowed in the Garden.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Service Animals
Service Animals are permitted. Service Animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or to perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. Animals whose sole function is to provide emotional support, well-being, comfort or companionship do not qualify as service animals under ADA requirements. Service animals must be harnessed, leashed or tethered, unless these devices interfere with service animal's work or the individual's disability prevents using these devices.
Walkers
Walkers can be used around the garden.
Wheelchairs
The paths are wide enough to permit wheelchair access. The garden has three (3) wheelchairs. Please call ahead to reserve a wheelchair. There is no charge for its use.
Parking
The garden has disabled parking spaces marked.
Restrooms
Restrooms are accessible and are located between the Garden Gift and Book Shop and the Garden Cafe.
