McKee Botanical Garden to Host 2026 Motor Car Exhibition on Valentine’s Day

Classic Convertibles, Roadsters, and Racers Set Among Monumental FLORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN Sculptures

Vero Beach, FL — McKee Botanical Garden—already renowned for its world-class collections of waterlilies and orchids—will be even more colorful on Saturday, February 14, 2026, when it hosts its much-anticipated 17th Annual Motor Car Exhibition, one of the Treasure Coast’s most distinctive destinations.

For one day only, car collectors and enthusiasts will park a dazzling array of convertibles, roadsters, hot rods, racers, and motorcycles throughout McKee’s historic garden, interwoven with the monumental sculptures of FLORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN by artists Kevin and Jennifer Box. The result is a striking fusion of automotive design, historic Florida landscape, and outdoor art.

Known statewide for its thoughtful curation, elegant presentation, and welcoming hospitality, McKee’s annual Motor Car Exhibition draws collectors and enthusiasts from across Florida. This year’s featured vehicles include, among others, a 1960 Mercedes-Benz 220SE Cabriolet, a 1971 Jaguar E-Type convertible, a 1964 Shelby Cobra, a 1959 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, a 1967 Jaguar XK-E Roadster, an Aston Martin DBR1, and a rare 1935 Auburn Boattail Speedster (Glen Pray Speedster) built by the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Company in 1972.

Collectors and enthusiasts are expected to descend upon the Garden from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for what has become one of McKee’s most important annual fundraisers. Originally conceived by renowned car collector and longtime McKee supporter John Schumann, and now organized by a dedicated Motor Car Exhibition Committee, the event has evolved into a family-friendly, must-see experience for residents of Indian River, St. Lucie, and Brevard counties, attracting more than 3,000 visitors each year.

The Garden Café will offer a themed menu for the occasion, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.

Admission is free for McKee members, $25 for non-members and $15 for US Military and children ages 3 to 16.  For more information visit mckeegarden.org.
