Vero Beach, FL — McKee Botanical Garden is pleased to announce the appointment of Christel Morat as Marketing Manager. She will report to Danielle Filgueira, Director of Philanthropy.
A native of Sweden, Morat brings a global perspective and more than 15 years of experience spanning marketing, brand strategy, creative direction, project management, and operations. Her educational background includes studies in Graphic Design and Project Management at Learning Partner in Sweden, Fashion Promotion and Marketing at the London College of Fashion in London, UK, and Entrepreneurial Studies at Örebro University in Sweden.
Morat’s professional experience includes roles in New York City as a graphic designer and copywriter for MSLK, a leading beauty branding agency, and as Creative Director and COO at Advantages, where she led agency operations and creative services. In that role, she ensured that all client deliverables aligned with strategic objectives, brand purpose, and measurable business outcomes.
Known for her strategic thinking and exceptional communications skills, Morat has built a reputation for translating ideas into compelling brand experiences that drive results.
At McKee, she will be responsible for upholding and refining how the Garden is perceived by visitors, members, donors, and the broader community. Working within the mission-driven brand strategy already established, she will lead thoughtful storytelling, disciplined brand stewardship, and strategic communications in support of McKee’s five-year strategic business plan.
As Vero Beach’s first and oldest cultural institution, and the only award-winning public garden on the Treasure Coast, McKee Botanical Garden continues to build on its distinguished legacy. Morat’s professional experience will support and extend this market position through the development of creative branded materials, written communications, and public relations across print, broadcast, and digital platforms.
“Christel brings both creative vision and strategic discipline to this role,” said Rochelle Wolberg. “Her ability to translate brand purpose into meaningful and measurable engagement makes her an exceptional fit for McKee. As we continue to build on our momentum during this historic period for the Garden, her management of McKee’s image will help ensure that our story is told with clarity, consistency, and impact.”
