13th Annual Waterlily Celebration

On Saturday, June 17, McKee Botanical Garden will host its 13th Annual Waterlily Celebration from 8:30 am - 2:00 pm. The state’s largest collection of waterlilies adorn the waterways and ponds of McKee. See a spectacular display of lotus and waterlilies in full bloom!

The day’s events include repotting demonstrations, a plant sale, and vintage home and garden accessories. Plant experts will be available throughout the day to answer questions and advise guests on how to characterize hardy species from tropical varieties.

The Garden will be open early so visitors can enjoy the night blooming varieties that open around dusk and close by mid-morning of the following day or later. The day blooming plants open around mid-morning and close by afternoon.

Visitors will have an opportunity to cast their vote for the "People's Choice" award from the submissions for the Garden's Annual Waterlily Photo Contest which will be on display in the historic Hall of Giants. The winning photo will be recognized along with the first, second and third place winners and honorable mention winners in both Adult and Youth categories.
