McKee BOTANICAL GARDEN to Offer Couples’ Dinner and Stroll for Valentine’s Day

Why give your Valentine a dozen flowers when you can treat her to 10,000? McKee Botanical Garden will hold its annual couples’ dinner on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, featuring a gourmet three-course meal on the Garden Café patio and candlelit stroll down fragrant Garden paths. The dinner and stroll is $110 per couple and is limited to two seatings of 25 couples each; reservations are required and can be made by calling 772-794-0601.

The Garden also will be open to the public from 6 - 8 p.m. for those wishing to walk the grounds by candlelight. Regular admission applies.

“Valentine’s Day is always incredibly special at McKee,” explained Executive Director Christine Hobart. “The intimate size of each seating, the indoor/outdoor setting and the sights, sounds and smells of the Garden at night make this one of the most unique and romantic experiences in Vero Beach.”

McKee Botanical Garden’s Valentine’s Day menu includes a fresh greens salad with balsamic vinaigrette and blue cheese crumbles; a choice of “Land and Sea” half-rack of lamb and grilled shrimp, seared wild salmon or sliced beef tenderloin; dessert of decadent chocolate mousse; and one glass of wine per person. Gratuity is not included.

The first seating will take place at 5 p.m., with the second seating to follow at 8 p.m. Diners should specify which seating they prefer when making their reservation. The Garden stroll will take place from 7 - 8 p.m. for both seatings.
