Grandparents Day

Sunday, September 7 marks the first official Grandparents Day at McKee Botanical Garden. Grandparents will be admitted free with a paid admission.

“Part of what gives Vero Beach such a strong sense of community is the many generations of families who reside here. What better gift to give a grandparent than the experience of walking together and enjoying the beauty of McKee Botanical Garden”, says Christine Hobart, Executive Director.

Grandparents Day was established in 1978 "... to honor grandparents, to give grandparents an opportunity to show love for their children's children, and to help children become aware of strength, information, and guidance older people can offer." National Grandparents Day is celebrated in the United States on the first Sunday after Labor Day.

The mission of McKee Botanical Garden is to nurture and enhance a historic garden in a unique tropical setting for the education, enjoyment and enrichment of all.

McKee Botanical Garden is located at 350 US Highway 1 in Vero Beach.

General admission fees are $6 adults, $5 Seniors, $3.50 children ages 5-12. Free admission for Members of the Garden. Hours of operation are Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm; Sunday noon-5pm. Closed Mondays.
