HO Scale Train Display
McKee Botanical Garden will have a special model train display for three days only, from Friday, April 21 through Sunday, April 23.
Take a journey back in time, before air travel, to the days of luxurious passenger trains and monster steam engines, but on a much smaller scale! The HO Group, made up of members living in Palm Bay to Stuart, Florida will have four trains on display at McKee Botanical Garden from April 21-23. Relive your fond memories of seeing long freight trains like the Union Pacific’s Big Boy or the Norfolk and Western’s Y6B’s, including the beloved red caboose at the end! Reminisce about the days of luxury passenger trains like the well-known California Zephyr, the Santa Fe’s famous Super Chief or the New York Central’s Twentieth Century Limited, as they travel through the mountainside and industrial city landscapes complete with a rock quarry, coal mine and even a Florida pineapple plantation.
Enjoy two exhibitions for the price of one. Don’t miss this special model train display for three days only, which is being held in conjunction with our Nature Connects: Art with LEGO Bricks exhibition by Sean Kenney, which is on display through May 7.
Admission Fees: $12 Adults, $11 Seniors, and $8 Children ages 3-12. McKee members and children under 3 free.
Hours of Admission: Tuesday-Saturday 10 am – 5 pm, Sunday noon- 5 pm, and closed Monday.
